Marshmallow Crispy Squares

These treats have become a childhood tradition. For variations on the classic, consider mixing in colored marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, bite-size candies, or using one of the feature puffed rice cereals, such as cocoa flavored, instead of the original.

Makes: 12 servings, two squares each

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 pkg. (10-1/2 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal

  • MELT butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

    ADD cereal; mix well.

    PRESS firmly into greased 13x9-inch pan. Cool completely. Cut into 24 squares to serve.
